The following photographs and treatment results were recorded in the early 20th Century by René Quinton and Dr Jean Jarricot at the Quinton Dispensaries.  This is just a small selection of the thousands of patients that were successfully treated for enteric and other many conditions using Quinton Marine Plasma.

Cholera and Colitis

Case 1:

In the first photograph we see a 10 month old infant with Cholera.  The litle boy is immobile with upturned eyes.

• Treatment: the child was with Quinton Marine Plasma (quantity and dose not recorded)  

• Result: gained 1660g in 3 months. (Picture 2)  Complete cure.

Case 2:

The first photograph shows a 9 month 24 day old baby boy weighing 4900g instead of 8400g normal weight.  This was terminal stage cholera with the boy not expected to live any longer than 24 hours. He was immobile, with a sunken stomach and upturned eyes. There were about 10 completely liquid bowel movements every day.

• Treatment: Injections of Quinton Marine Plasma: 500ml bid, i.e. 250ml in the morning, 250ml in the evening for 10 consecutive days, then 200ml per day for a further 10 days  

• After the first injection he was able to tolerate 10% of his body weight milk regime immediately, increasing to 12½% body weight milk regime on day four  

• His body weight increased 400g in the first 24 hours  

• His stools were normal from the 7th day on  

• After treatment and with an appropriate diet he continued to gain weight with no further set-back  

• Result: completely cured

Case 3:

The first photograph shows a 4 years 9 months old boy with chronic colitis.  He  weighed the same as a normal boy of 2½ years old.

• Treatment: Quinton Marine Plasma (quantity and dose not recorded).  

• In the second photograph 7 weeks later there is a significant gain in weight.  

• In the 3rd photograph 27½ years later (November 1909 - May 1937) he has no trouble keeping his weight on!

Case 4

The first photograph shows a 20 year old woman suffering with dyspepsia, chronic enterocolitis and terminal cachexia (extreme weight loss etc.).  She had continuous weight loss for the previous five years; daily vomiting for the previous two years and an absence of periods for the previous four years.  

She had previously been admitted to hospital twice without improvement.  

• Only treatment: Quinton Marine Plasma injections: 30ml initially followed by 50ml, and finally 75ml injections three times a week.  

• Total quantity of injected QMP: 1000ml  

• After the first injection she was able to tolerate milk then progressively eggs, vegetables and meat. Her constipation disappeared after the third injection.  

• She gained 17kg in two months, started normal periods after 45 days, and gradually recovered to be able to eat a regular diet.

Case 5:

This is the story of a baby girl who was normal at birth. At 2 months of age she weighed 3kg 600g but soon after developed digestive problems resulting in continuous loss of weight even while hospitalized for 45 days. At 3 months her weight had dropped to 2kg 650g. She is 3 month 26 days old in the first photograph when Quinton Marine Plasma treatment was started.   

• Only treatment: Injections of Quinton Marine Plasma beginning at 30ml, then 50ml, three times a week. As soon as treatment began she was able to eat 12 meals a day of 60g to 140g of pure milk per meal from 3 months 26 days of age to 6 months 7 days

• The 2nd photograph was taken aged 6 months 5 days. Her weight had significantly increased to 5kg 290g

• In 2 months 10 days, she doubled her weight

• Total quantity of injected Quinton Marine Plasma: about 500cc
